Akira Miyamoto, a high school student, leads an ordinary life until his older brother, Atsushi, mysteriously disappears. Two years later, Akira encounters a girl named Rei, who claims to have information about Atsushi’s whereabouts. Rei reveals that Atsushi is alive but trapped on Higanjima, a remote island overrun by vampires. Determined to rescue his brother, Akira, along with a group of friends, travels to the island, unaware of the horrors awaiting them.

Upon arrival, the group discovers that Higanjima is a nightmarish landscape ruled by a powerful vampire lord named Miyabi. The island’s inhabitants have been transformed into bloodthirsty creatures, and the group must fight for survival while uncovering the island’s dark secrets. Akira learns that Miyabi possesses supernatural abilities and is orchestrating a plan to spread vampirism beyond the island. The group faces relentless attacks from vampires and other monstrous entities, forcing them to rely on their wits, courage, and makeshift weapons.

As the story progresses, Akira’s determination to save his brother intensifies, but he also grapples with the moral complexities of their situation. The group encounters other survivors on the island, some of whom have been driven to desperation or madness. Akira’s leadership is tested as he navigates alliances, betrayals, and the constant threat of death. The narrative delves into themes of survival, loyalty, and the lengths one will go to protect loved ones.

The series features a diverse cast of characters, each with distinct personalities and motivations. Akira serves as the determined protagonist, driven by his love for his brother. Rei, initially enigmatic, becomes a key ally with her knowledge of the island and combat skills. Atsushi, though initially absent, plays a pivotal role as the story unfolds, revealing his own struggles and sacrifices. Miyabi, the primary antagonist, is portrayed as a cunning and ruthless leader with a tragic backstory that adds depth to his character.

The plot is marked by intense action sequences, unexpected twists, and moments of emotional weight. The group’s journey is fraught with danger, and the line between friend and foe often blurs as they confront the island’s horrors. The narrative builds toward a climactic confrontation with Miyabi, where the fate of both the characters and the world beyond Higanjima hangs in the balance. The series combines elements of horror, action, and drama, creating a gripping and suspenseful tale of survival against overwhelming odds.
