A samurai named Sakura is cut down in battle during Japan's Warring States period alongside the legendary warriors known as the Demonic Six Swords, whom he deeply admired. Even in death, he carries a strong lingering regret. When he awakens, he discovers he has been reincarnated in the modern day as a member of an idol group called SSS7 that is about to make its debut. Sakura soon realizes that his new bandmates are nearly identical in appearance to the famous samurai comrades he fought beside in his past life.

The story follows Sakura as he navigates the completely foreign world of contemporary Japanese entertainment, from training routines to live performances, while retaining only his memories of the Sengoku era. Throughout the manga, he struggles to reconcile his warrior identity and the unresolved feelings from his death with his new role as a pop idol. The narrative explores how his samurai sense of honor and discipline translates into the high-pressure world of idol stardom, as well as his relationships with the reincarnated Demonic Six Swords who are now his fellow group members. The manga, which concluded after sixteen chapters collected in two volumes, chronicles SSS7s journey from their debut through the various challenges and arcs of the entertainment industry, all filtered through Sakuras anachronistic perspective.
