Sasabe is cheeky and ambitious, and despite his difficult attitude, Utou feels compelled to watch over him, especially after discovering Sasabe's secret predisposition to stir up sexual desire. As Utou helps Sasabe relieve the pain of his heats, he is haunted by his past failure to protect a dear Omega, and his belief that Betas cannot truly help Omegas makes him hesitant to get close. Unbeknownst to them, the company's higher-ups have dirty plans to force Sasabe into sleeping with clients in another Omega's place, a situation that begins to break his body and mind. As Sasabe anguishes over betraying Utou's trust, Utou's well-meaning kindness only worsens the situation.

A further continuation, Wails of the Bound: Return, sees Alpha Keisuke Takaba and his Omega mate, Miyabi Karasuma, finally living and working together in harmony despite Karasuma being his boss. However, their perfect world is upended when Takaba is transferred to a new department in the entertainment world. As he struggles to prove his worth, the proximity to a new Alpha acquaintance threatens to trigger Takaba's possessive instincts like never before.
