Description
After his mother passes away, Taga Reiji finds himself alone in the world. As her final wish, she arranges for him to transfer to a high school she founded. Upon arrival, Reiji discovers that her arrangements were far more elaborate than he could have imagined. He is placed in a special class designated 1-F, a unit his mother created specifically for him. This class, known as the Yomekura or Bridal Class, consists of Reiji and eight beautiful female students, all of whom have been selected as prospective fiancée candidates to vie for his hand in marriage by the time they graduate.

The protagonist Reiji Taga is a normal high school boy who likes girls but has never been particularly popular, making his sudden situation overwhelming. The eight candidates each bring distinct personalities and motivations to the class. Ichinose Miu is a cheerful girl who attended the same elementary school as Reiji for a year and has harbored a crush on him since childhood. Nikai Yukina, the class president, joined not to marry Reiji but to protect her childhood friend Miu from male attention, and her first impression of Reiji is terrible. Emino Rio is a carnivorous type who enjoys deceiving men and applied simply because she thought the situation would be fun. Yotsukura Sanae is a short-haired archery club member who was inspired to join after seeing a shoujo manga drawn by Reijis mother. Igarashi Anon is a younger-spirited girl who refers to others as older sister and brother, seeking to obtain the genes of Reijis mother, a genius with a high IQ. Lindou Rin wears glasses and speaks formally, having applied to the class as part of her goal to become a policewoman. Nanamagari Kyou has a somewhat brusque tone and attitude but also displays a feminine side. Lia August is a blonde exchange student from England who met Reiji when they were young and has been in love with him ever since.

The story unfolds as Reiji navigates his new daily life surrounded by these eight potential brides, each competing for his attention while also dealing with their own agendas. The series balances romantic comedy with ecchi and harem elements, following the humorous and often chaotic interactions between Reiji and the girls as they participate in school activities, face unexpected situations, and slowly develop genuine relationships. The class is supervised by their homeroom teacher Izayoi Mitsuki, a former disciple of Reijis mother who considers her a benefactor but proves to be a problematic figure in her own right.

As the narrative progresses, Reiji learns more about his mothers intentions and the legacy she left behind. Aoi Taga, Reijis mother, was a respected educator and politician who created the Yomekura to ensure her son would not be alone after her death. Throughout the series, Reiji must come to terms with his mothers plan while attempting to form authentic connections with the eight girls, each of whom has her own reason for being in the class beyond simply becoming his bride. The story follows the romantic tensions and personal growth of all the characters as Reiji faces the central question of whether he will be able to choose just one of them by the time their unusual arrangement concludes.
