Manga
Description
A workaholic real estate agent becomes the protagonist of Lulu no Hellhouse, a supernatural manga by Ikuno Tajima that blends horror with professional absurdity. The story forces this obsessive salesperson to confront a property that is not merely difficult to sell but genuinely haunted, creating a clash between the rational world of real estate and the irrational realm of ghosts and curses. The central conflict emerges from this unlikely pairing, as the agent must use sales tactics and perhaps a growing understanding of the paranormal to deal with a residence that refuses to be listed quietly. The manga launches with a color opening page in the May 2025 issue of Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy magazine, released on April 18, 2025. Ikuno Tajima, the creator behind the series Victoria's Electric Coffin, returns to the supernatural genre with this premise, which is teased as a confrontation between a determined agent and a terrifying haunted mansion. The setting is the Japanese real estate market, but the narrative expands into the dark and comedic spaces of a hellish house that does not conform to normal business logic. Narrative arcs are expected to follow individual property cases, beginning with the initial hellhouse that gives the series its title, and exploring how a professional obsessed with closing deals learns to navigate a world where the clients are not always alive.
