Description
High schooler Casio wins tickets to Sunny Park, an old and rundown amusement park on the outskirts of Tokyo that has become the subject of eerie urban legends about visitors who mysteriously vanish. Despite the rumors, he goes there with his friends expecting nothing more than a winter day's diversion. The trip turns into a nightmare when one of his friends lures him away from the group and stabs him to death. As Casio lies bleeding out, his tearful friend whispers a desperate plea to save someone named Asebi.

Casio next awakens to find himself alive and back at the moment he first stepped into the park that morning. His second attempt at the day passes without incident until he tries to leave, at which point time snaps back to the same morning once again. As he spirals into panic, a mysterious girl appears and introduces herself as Asebi. She explains that she has been trapped within the park for an extremely long time, reliving the same day on an endless loop. Now Casio is caught in the same cycle, and according to Asebi, there is only one known way to escape: he must kill someone.

The story unfolds entirely within the confines of Sunny Park, where the time loop resets each time Casio tries to leave, trapping him in a frozen winter day that never progresses. The narrative follows his repeated attempts to understand why his friend murdered him, who Asebi truly is, and whether there might be another solution to the loop besides the violent escape condition she presents. As Casio relives the same hours again and again, the initial shock gives way to a desperate search for answers hidden within the park's decaying attractions and the memories of those trapped alongside him. The relationship between Casio and Asebi develops gradually through their shared imprisonment, though the repetitive nature of the loop prevents meaningful progress from one cycle to the next, forcing them to find new ways to communicate and trust each other across iterations that otherwise unfold identically.

The light novel is written by Mei Hachimoku, known for The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes, with illustrations by KUKKA. It was published in Japan in April 2025 as the final entry in the author's seasons-themed series. The English edition is scheduled for release in September 2026.
