Now, with the annual interdormitory Spelldrive tournament approaching, a series of suspicious accidents begins targeting the players, threatening to derail the competition before it even begins.

The setting is Night Raven College, a prestigious magical academy where students are divided into seven dorms based on the Great Seven, legendary villains from Disney lore. The story unfolds against the backdrop of the Spelldrive tournament, a brutal and flashy sport similar to magical football where players compete to throw a disc through a goal while using spells to attack and defend. With talent scouts and worldwide broadcast attention descending on the campus, tensions run high as each dorm vies for supremacy.

The protagonist is Yuya Kuroki, a magicless human summoned to Twisted Wonderland who must navigate this dangerous world using only his wits and determination. At his side is Grim, a cocky cat-like creature who dreams of becoming a great mage and constantly boasts about his future greatness despite his small size. Their investigation brings them into conflict with the Savanaclaw dorm, whose students embody the perseverance of the King of Beasts from The Lion King. Central to the conflict is Leona Kingscholar, the second prince of the Sunset Savanna who bears the unique magical signature of the lion. As the second-born son, Leona harbors deep resentment about his place in the succession, believing that his superior talents and efforts mean nothing compared to the accident of birth order. His bitterness festers into a scheme to use the Spelldrive tournament as a platform to prove his worth and seize the power he believes he deserves.

The narrative follows Yuya, Grim, and their allies from the Heartslabyul dorm including Ace Trappola and Deuce Spade as they investigate the mysterious accidents plaguing tournament participants. Their suspicions grow as they uncover evidence pointing to a coordinated effort orchestrated from within the Savanaclaw dorm. Ruggie Bucchi, Leona\'s cunning subordinate, uses his unique signature spell to manipulate others, and the investigation reveals a conspiracy that extends far beyond simple sabotage. The climax builds toward the tournament exhibition match where Leona\'s ambitions reach their breaking point, triggering a catastrophic Overblot a phenomenon where a mage\'s negative emotions cause their magical energy to run rampant, transforming them into a monstrous threat. Yuya and his friends must find a way to stop Leona\'s rampage and uncover the truth behind the Usurper from the Wilds before the tournament ends in disaster.

The novel adapts the second book of the Disney Twisted-Wonderland mobile game\'s main story, written by Jun Hioki who serves as event writer and supervisor for the game, with original concept and art by Yana Toboso, creator of Black Butler.
