Yuke Feldio, a red mage specializing in support magic, has spent five years as a member of Thunder Pike, an elite A-rank adventuring party. Despite his crucial contributions, he is ridiculed as a jack-of-all-trades and a money drain, assigned only menial tasks while his teammates claim the glory. After reaching his limit, Yuke finally quits, declaring he can no longer endure the mistreatment. While searching for a new party at the Adventurer's Guild, he reunites with three former students from his time as an instructor: Marina, Silk, and Rain. These three women are struggling as a low-ranked party, and they enthusiastically invite Yuke to join them. He accepts, and together they form a new party called Clover.

The setting is a fantasy world where adventurers explore vast, monster-infested dungeons, seeking treasure and conquest. Parties are ranked from low to high, with A-rank representing the pinnacle of achievement. A unique feature of this world is the Camelat-kun, a broadcasting artifact that allows adventurers to livestream their dungeon runs, making successful parties famous across the kingdom. The deepest and most dangerous dungeon is the Colorless Abyss, also known as Achromatic Darkness, which becomes Clover's ultimate dream to conquer.

As Yuke begins working with his former students, his true abilities come to light. As a red mage and alchemist, he excels at buffing allies, debuffing enemies, logistical preparation, and using a vast collection of magical items. His versatile support elevates the entire team, turning the inexperienced Marina, Silk, and Rain into a highly effective fighting force. Clover rapidly gains popularity through their broadcasted adventures, advancing in rank and building a reputation for efficient teamwork. Meanwhile, Thunder Pike falls into disarray. Without Yuke's support, they fail quests, lose new members, and see their reputation crumble. The party's arrogant leader, Simon, who was also Yuke's childhood friend, attempts to force Yuke back, but his public tantrum only further damages Thunder Pike's standing.

The early narrative arcs focus on the growing rivalry between the rising Clover and the crumbling Thunder Pike. A major antagonist emerges in the noble Besio Salas, who sponsors Thunder Pike with illegal equipment to ambush and destroy Clover, intending to enslave the female members. This plot backfires spectacularly when Jamie, a mage from Thunder Pike who secretly regrets her complicity in Yuke's mistreatment, defects to help Clover escape. The confrontation results in the deaths of two Thunder Pike members and Simon's transformation into an undead monstrosity driven by resentment, leading to the party's complete disgrace and disbandment. Jamie joins Clover after receiving a reduced sentence for her betrayal, alongside a cat-girl ninja named Nene.

As the story progresses beyond the personal rivalry, Clover delves into deeper and more anomalous dungeons, uncovering signs of a coming catastrophe known as the Abyss Gate. Yuke is identified as a prophesied hero destined to seal this threat, drawing on the legacy of his legendary uncle, Saga, who once conquered the Colorless Abyss. The party confronts world-ending dangers, political conspiracies involving Rain's noble family and a forced betrothal, and the lingering mutated remnants of Simon. The Clover party expands with new allies, and Yuke forms deep bonds with his companions, including a contractual union that binds them together for mutual protection. The narrative ultimately shifts from dungeon conquest to saving the world from chaos, with Clover's collaborative success standing in stark contrast to the selfish ambitions of their former rivals.
