Celebrate going to school. Katta Kirifuda, a duelist who loves curry bread, has entered junior high school and remains as passionate about the card game Duel Masters as ever. The story follows Katta as he is reunited with his childhood friend, Lulu, and sets out to become the strongest duelist in Japan.

Katta is the younger brother of the original series protagonist Shobu Kirifuda and continues the family legacy as a duelist. As the central character, Katta brings his enthusiastic and powerful dueling style to a new school setting, where he encounters both familiar faces and new rivals.

The manga is a continuation of the Duel Masters Victory series and serves as the next chapter in the Katta Saga of the larger Duel Masters franchise. Unlike the anime adaptation that shares its name, the Duel Masters Versus manga presents a different storyline set in an alternate reality. While it features many of the same characters from the Versus anime seasons, the manga follows its own unique plot and introduces new villains not seen in the animated version.

The narrative spans twelve volumes, originally published between 2014 and 2017.
