Nao is a self-described loser and late bloomer whose life hits rock bottom when his girlfriend leaves him for another man. While contemplating his worthless existence, he spots a recruitment advertisement for the Space Force, an elite military organization dedicated to protecting Earth from extraterrestrial threats. Seeing this as his chance to achieve the only thing he still desires a cool and inspiring death, he enlists with a simple plan: sacrifice himself heroically for his comrades and finally be free.
