In a world where gods who have lost faith in humanity have transformed into monstrous and dangerous entities known as Marroads, ordinary life is constantly threatened by these supernatural beings. The young Goto Asahi is traveling by car with his family when they are suddenly attacked by one of these creatures. His parents are killed instantly, and his younger sister, Yuuka, falls into a coma-like state due to a mysterious sickness caused by the Marroad's influence. As Asahi learns the true cause of his sister's condition, he discovers the only way to save her is to form a desperate and perilous alliance with one of these evil gods. He must team up with the most wicked Marroad of all, the one embodying Hunger, in a brutal eat-or-be-eaten battle of supernatural powers to defeat the other monsters threatening their world.
