Description
Dan is a passionate but struggling ballet student who dreams of becoming a great dancer. His heart soars when he watches his talented upperclassman, Steven McRae, practice, though Dan's own abilities do not yet match his ambition. What Dan does not know is that Steven is more than just an exceptional performer. Using a magic mirror at their ballet academy, Steven travels to a parallel dimension known as Danceworld, where he takes on the role of a superheroic figure called the Ballet Hero. When Dan accidentally stumbles through the mirror and follows his idol into this fantastical realm, he discovers a vibrant universe under threat from a sinister gang known as the Evil-eyes, who are undermining the land with their malicious power.

In Danceworld, Steven reveals that Dan's arrival is not an accident but a significant turning point. Together, the two dancers must learn to transform their classical techniques into combat moves, treating each grand jeté and pirouette as a power move to fend off their enemies. The story blends the aesthetics of ballet with the tropes of tokusatsu action, as the pair work to restore harmony to a world that appears to be themed around classic ballets such as The Nutcracker. The narrative focuses on the mentorship between the experienced principal dancer and the novice student, with Steven encouraging Dan to realize that his hard work and dedication are the sources of his true strength.

Originally serialized in Japan from August 2013 to November 2015 in the magazine Dancin, the complete series spans two volumes. The work is a direct collaboration between manga artist Takafumi Adachi, known for creating the Metal Saga of Beyblade, and real-life Royal Ballet principal dancer Steven McRae, who appears as a fictionalized version of himself.
