Description
An ordinary working man in Japan dies and reincarnates not as a heroic protagonist, but as Asuka, the villainess of a popular otome game titled Love Revolution Kingdom. Now inhabiting the body of a beautiful noblewoman, he faces a grim fate: in the game's original story, Asuka is destined for execution after the villain prince falls in love with her and a series of disastrous events unfold. To survive, he must avoid triggering any romantic flags, especially ensuring the villain prince never develops feelings for his new female form.
The setting is the lavish, fairy-tale inspired world of the otome game, complete with a royal court, noble society, and the various handsome love interests who orbit the game's heroine. As the protagonist attempts to live a quiet, unremarkable life by acting disinterested in all the boys, his plan backfires spectacularly. His detached and indifferent demeanor, intended to repel attention, instead intrigues the very characters he is trying to avoid. The villain prince, along with other male leads, becomes increasingly attracted to Asuka precisely because she appears to be the only one not vying for their affection.
The central conflict is a cruel irony: any romantic attachment, or even close friendship, with the game's male characters could steer the narrative back toward the original plot and lead to Asuka's death. The protagonist must navigate this treacherous social landscape where genuine human connection is a potential death sentence. Notable narrative arcs follow his attempts to derail key story events from the game, his internal struggle with his past identity and current body, and the growing confusion of the male leads who are fascinated by this unconventional villainess who seems to want nothing to do with them. The story is a debut manga series written by Noa Nekoyashiki and illustrated by Seira Minami, known for illustrating The Rising of the Shield Hero light novels.
