Description
The class president Hashida makes a habit of secretly following the bullying inflicted on his classmate Ayase. He observes these acts of abuse, which consistently take place in the girls bathroom of the old, now-disused school building. Remaining hidden, he takes photographs of the incidents, telling himself that he is gathering proof of these terrible acts. However, he never actually shows these photos to anyone. The setting is a Japanese school, where the old building provides a secluded and forgotten space for the harassment to occur. The main characters are Hashida, who is a silent observer and documenter rather than an intervener, and Ayase, the victim of the bullying. The narrative arc follows Hashida as he continues his detached surveillance. The story takes a darker turn when one day he witnesses an event that is different from the usual bullying, something described as more sinister than the acts he has been secretly recording. The manga is a dramatic seinenseries that explores themes of complicity, observation, and the escalation of violence.
