Manga
Description
A dependable office worker named Hanaichi Fudo once possessed a genuine gift for art, winning competitions as a child. However, after losing his mother and becoming an orphan, he abandoned his dream of becoming a professional artist to care for his younger sister and lead a stable, conventional life. Years later, his senior colleague at work, Saori Wakaba, a top sales performer who secretly dreams of becoming a mangaka, finds herself at her limit. She is full of story ideas but struggles with her artistic skills and has never won any awards or approval for her work. After seeing Fudo’s sketches, she collapses from exhaustion at work and subsequently asks for his help drawing her manga.

The story follows the duo as they begin working late nights together after the office closes. Initially hesitant, Fudo slowly reconnects with his love for art through this collaboration, finding that illustrating Wakaba’s stories reignites a passion he thought he had lost. They begin creating manga together with the goal of getting approved for publication. The narrative explores their journey through the competitive manga industry, including encounters with other artists and established professionals. One notable development involves a talented mangaka who Fudo assists, who becomes infatuated with his skills and attempts to convince him to abandon his partnership with Wakaba to work solely for her. As the series progresses, a time skip advances the story, showing the pair continuing their efforts as a creative team in the world of professional manga serialization.
