The protagonist, You Nakamori, is a 28-year-old woman working as the live-in manager of a shared apartment building. To achieve her goal as quickly as possible, she dedicates herself to saving every yen she earns from her job.

However, the share house she manages is far from a quiet, straightforward place to work. The building is filled with residents who all have complicated pasts or unusual circumstances. As a result, You finds herself constantly dealing with one event or incident after another among the tenants. Her wish for a modest and quiet life is continually disrupted by the chaos surrounding her.

The series is a spin-off of Miki Aihara's popular romance manga, From Five to Nine.
