Manga
Description
Before the formation of the team known as the X-Men, five young mutants live in fear and confusion, struggling to control their emerging abilities while facing a world that fears and hates them. Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman, Beast, and Angel are isolated adolescents whose powers set them apart and make them targets of prejudice. As anti-mutant sentiment grows, Professor Charles Xavier begins searching for these gifted individuals, seeing in them the potential to become a force for unity and peace. Meanwhile, the powerful mutant Magneto takes an opposing stance, believing that mutants must dominate rather than coexist with humanity. Xavier, posing as a school coordinator, recruits each of the five teens, offering them a safe haven and training at his school for gifted youngsters. The story delves into the personal struggles and early adventures of these original X-Men as they learn to master their powers and confront both external threats and their own doubts. Major narrative arcs include the first encounters between Xavier and Magneto, the bonding of the team under Xavier's mentorship, and the early missions that set the foundation for the X-Men's legacy. The limited series provides a deeper look at the origins of the core characters and the ideological conflict that defines their world.
