In a world overrun by zombies, underground idol Yuirusu and her devoted fan Hasshii are determined to reach the Nippon Budokan in time for the idol festival Ashi Matsuri. The pair belong to different sides of the same dream: Yuirusu is a member of the small-time idol group Koi se yo Triangle, and Hasshii is her most passionate otaku. When the undead, referred to as corpse people, flood the city, the two form an unlikely survival team. Their single-minded goal is to make it to the Budokan together, believing that if they can get there, they will find either salvation or destruction. The story follows their high-stakes race against time through zombie-infested streets, familiar Tokyo landmarks such as Akihabara Station and the electronics district, and even a boat ride on the Kanda River. Along the way, Yuirusu encounters Kokawa Hina, a member of a national idol group, and confronts her own insecurities and ambitions. Hasshii, for his part, must push past his own limits as a fan and as a protector. The narrative balances the tension of a survival horror situation with the emotional drive of idol culture fandom, exploring what people are willing to sacrifice for their most cherished connections.
