Description
Twenty-year-old college student Eri Inui has dreamed of becoming a professional mangaka since childhood. She is the best artist among her friends, yet she repeatedly fails to find a publisher willing to take her on. Her life shifts when thirteen-year-old Souta Inusaki, the son of a distant relative, comes to live with Eri and her mother in Tokyo. Souta is a gifted aspiring violinist who has moved to the city to practice seriously. Eri sees much of her own drive and vulnerability reflected in the young boy. The story follows their daily life under the same roof, balancing Souta’s puberty and his focused pursuit of music with Eri’s struggle to make progress in her own career. Their relationship deepens slowly: Souta quickly develops a crush on Eri, while Eri, initially flustered and uncertain, begins to see him as more than a child. Each provides emotional support for the other’s ambitions, and their bond gradually turns romantic despite the significant age gap. The narrative unfolds in short, comedic chapters that emphasize slice-of-life moments and light ecchi elements rather than dramatic arcs. Over time, both characters mature, and a time skip leads to a happy ending in which they finally acknowledge their feelings and commit to a future together. The setting is contemporary Tokyo, centered around the Inui household and the local music and publishing scenes.
