Description
After a single day spent with a boy named Hikaru during her last year of grade school, Megumi Hoshino carried that memory through an uneventful middle school life. Now entering high school, she is determined to leave her first love behind and start fresh. On the morning of her entrance ceremony, however, a stunningly beautiful girl calls out her name and embraces her. To Megumi’s shock, the girl is Hikaru – now her classmate – and she is a girl. The story follows Megumi as she grapples with this revelation and the rekindling of her feelings, while Hikaru seems unfazed and eager to renew their bond.

Set in a contemporary Japanese high school, the narrative centers on the relationship between Megumi Hoshino and Hikaru Aihara. Megumi is introspective and reserved, still processing her past crush and the unexpected turn it has taken. Hikaru is outgoing and affectionate, openly pursuing Megumi without hesitation. Their interactions blend awkwardness, humor, and growing intimacy as they navigate friendship, romance, and the social dynamics of school life. Supporting characters include their friends Yoko Ogawa, Erika Senoo, and Arisu Hirose, who provide advice, comic relief, and occasional obstacles.

The manga explores themes of identity, first love, and self‑discovery. Key narrative arcs include Megumi’s internal conflict over her sexuality and her feelings for Hikaru, the couple’s tentative steps toward a romantic relationship, and their handling of reactions from peers and family. The story balances lighthearted school comedy with tender moments and mild erotic tension, culminating in a resolution where Megumi learns to accept her emotions. The series consists of six chapters and a single volume, originally serialized in Tsubomi magazine.
