Description
Psychiatrist Rinko spends her days listening to the silent cries of people burdened by depression, panic disorder, addiction, and other mental health struggles. She is dedicated to caring for patients who feel that life is too painful to bear. But one day, her own teenage daughter Yuri attempts suicide by jumping from the balcony of their apartment. Rinko lunges to save her and both fall. When they are taken to the hospital, Rinko regains consciousness to find that her mind now inhabits Yuri’s body. Determined to uncover the reason her daughter wanted to die, Rinko begins living Yuri’s high school life, using her medical expertise and maternal instincts to investigate. She resolves to find the person who drove Yuri to the edge and to create a world where Yuri will never again choose death. As Rinko navigates school relationships, suspicious classmates, and her own complicated past with her ex-husband Shōgo, she uncovers hidden pressures, a potential stalker, and the painful secrets Yuri could not share. The story blends psychological insight with a mystery that forces Rinko to confront both her failures as a mother and the unseen struggles of adolescents. Over the course of the series, the body‑swap condition is resolved, Yuri’s lost memories return, and the true cause of the suicide attempt is finally confronted, leading to a conclusion that examines family love, survival guilt, and the healing power of understanding.
