Downcast and disillusioned, he is suddenly transported into the world of a painfully embarrassing manga he drew in middle school—a chaotic mess titled Star Black Shining. The story is nonsensical, the characters run wild, and every page is full of cringe-worthy moments, yet it overflows with the pure, unfiltered passion he has since lost. The hero of that old world is Edulis, a selfish, chuunibyou protagonist who acts on impulse and never listens. Akane finds that he can revisit this world at will, and by engaging with its absurdities and confronting the raw creativity of his younger self, he slowly rediscovers the joy of creation. Each journey into the black history manga teaches him something about storytelling, character, and sincerity. As he applies these lessons to his professional work, Akane grows more confident, eventually choosing to bring his first serialized story, Enrai no Violet, to a deliberate conclusion. His path culminates in a final confrontation with what a truly good work means, both for his audience and for himself.
