Maria, a devout and pure-hearted girl, endures relentless and brutal bullying at the hands of her schoolmates. Her torment escalates when she is forced to jump from a building, sustaining a severe head injury. In the aftermath, she begins to hear a voice she believes to be God’s. This voice reveals that her bullies are possessed by demons, and that it is her divine mission to exorcise them. Awakening to this purpose, Maria sets out on a path of violent retribution, determined to save both herself and her oppressors by driving out the evil within them.

The story is set within a school environment where a corrupt student council, led by the sadistic president Sayuri, orchestrates much of the systematic abuse. As Maria begins her crusade, she is joined by a once-helpless classmate, Nishizono (referred to as Saien), who awakens to his own strength and becomes her ally. Together, they pursue the demon-possessed members of the student council one by one. Volume two introduces Karen Ichijo, a council member who controls the school’s food supply and subjects students to starvation. Maria devises a clever strategy to overcome her. Volume three sees the remaining council members confronted, culminating in a final showdown with Sayuri, who proves to be even more monstrous than expected. The narrative explores Maria’s struggle to rescue Sayuri from the demon possessing her, leading to a climactic and grim resolution.
