Description
Shonen Jump+ Yomikirishū is a digital anthology series that collects notable one-shot manga originally published on the Shonen Jump+ platform. Each volume is built around a central theme, such as life, emotion, love, or strangeness, and gathers standalone stories from a range of creators. The series began its release in early 2025 under Shueisha’s Jump Comics Digital imprint.

The settings and characters vary widely from story to story. For example, the volume themed around life includes Niku wo Hagu, which follows Chiaki Ogawa, a transgender man who helps his father butcher boars and livestreams the process while struggling with his father’s refusal to accept his identity. Also in that volume is 16-sai no Shintai Chizu, a story about adolescence and bodily awareness, and Uchikirare Mangaka, Doujin Event e Iku., which depicts a cancelled manga artist attending a doujinshi event. Other stories in the collection explore a mystical catlike creature (Misia) and a young girl who cannot keep up with others (Damekko Mii-chan).

Another volume, centered on emotion, includes stories about a senior who defies expectations, the gentle weight of words, the aftermath of a hero’s journey, and a tale of friendship between a quiet boy and a boisterous girl. The love-themed volume contains a boy who wants to kiss, a woman who visits host clubs during the pandemic, a passion that consumes everything, and a romance that blurs across time and appearance.

Because Shonen Jump+ Yomikirishū is not a single narrative but a curated series of one-shot collections, it does not have a continuous storyline, fixed main characters, or overarching narrative arcs. Instead, each volume offers a cross-section of the platform’s creative range, bringing together short, self-contained manga that explore varied genres, emotional tones, and artistic styles.
