Description
Ruri, a young woman from modern Japan, is summoned to another world as a "Saint," a revered figure meant to save the kingdom. However, she is quickly discarded when the summoners realize she lacks the expected powers. Left to fend for herself in a foreign land, Ruri is betrayed and nearly killed by those who summoned her. Rescued by a mysterious white cat named Chelsie, she discovers that Chelsie is actually a powerful dragon in disguise. Chelsie takes Ruri under his protection, and she begins to adapt to her new life in the dragon realm.

As Ruri settles into the dragon kingdom, she learns that her summoning was part of a larger scheme orchestrated by the human kingdom, which sought to exploit her for their own gain. Despite her initial powerlessness, Ruri gradually awakens latent abilities tied to her status as a Saint, including the power to communicate with spirits and manipulate magical energy. Her newfound abilities and her connection to Chelsie draw the attention of the Dragon King, Astrud, who takes a keen interest in her. Astrud, along with other dragons, begins to see Ruri as a valuable ally and a potential bridge between humans and dragons.

The narrative explores Ruri’s journey as she navigates the complexities of her new world, balancing her growing relationships with the dragons and her lingering resentment toward the humans who betrayed her. She forms bonds with various characters, including the Dragon King’s loyal retainers and other mythical beings, while uncovering the truth behind her summoning and the political machinations of the human kingdom. Ruri’s interactions with the spirits and her unique abilities play a central role in shaping her identity and her role in the world.

The story blends elements of fantasy, adventure, and political intrigue, with Ruri’s personal growth and her evolving relationships driving the plot forward. Themes of trust, betrayal, and the search for belonging are woven throughout the narrative, as Ruri grapples with her past and her place in a world that initially rejected her. The dragons, with their immense power and ancient wisdom, serve as both protectors and mentors, while the human kingdom’s schemes create ongoing tension and conflict. The series balances moments of lighthearted humor with darker undertones, creating a dynamic and engaging storyline.
