Manga
Description
A private plane carrying students and teachers from a high school crashes on a mysterious island during a return trip from a school trip. The survivors, led by Akira Sengoku, a delinquent with a strong sense of justice, and his childhood friend Mariya Ryouji, quickly realize the island is unlike any known place. It is populated by prehistoric creatures, including dinosaurs and other extinct species, as well as strange, hostile humanoid creatures. The group must navigate the dangers of the island while searching for answers about their predicament and a way to escape.

As the survivors explore the island, they encounter other groups of people who also crashed under similar circumstances, including a rival faction led by the manipulative and ruthless Kouhei Akagami. Tensions rise as resources become scarce, and conflicts emerge over leadership and survival strategies. Akira emerges as a natural leader, often clashing with Akagami’s ruthless methods, while Mariya provides strategic thinking and emotional support. The group discovers remnants of advanced technology and cryptic messages hinting at the island’s purpose, suggesting it may be a man-made experiment or a prison of some kind.

Throughout the series, the characters face numerous life-threatening challenges, including attacks by prehistoric creatures, internal betrayals, and the psychological toll of their isolation. Flashbacks and character backstories reveal personal motivations and connections, adding depth to their struggles. The narrative gradually uncovers the island’s secrets, including its connection to a mysterious organization and a global conspiracy involving human experimentation and time manipulation.

The story builds toward a climactic revelation about the island’s true nature and the fate of its inhabitants. The survivors must make difficult choices as they confront the truth and attempt to find a way off the island. The series balances action, mystery, and character development, exploring themes of survival, morality, and the consequences of human ambition. The ending provides resolution while leaving some questions open to interpretation, reflecting the series’ focus on the journey rather than definitive answers.
