In the 11th episode, Yukichi wakes up early and completes his usual tasks while Saku continues sleeping. When he realizes that Saku needs to get ready for work, Yukichi pulls her out of bed. Before Saku leaves for work, she informs Yukichi that today is payday and hints at a celebratory evening with beer and cat food awaiting them.

When Saku returns from work, she finds a homemade meal prepared by Yukichi. However, a button on her pants pops open, suggesting she has gained weight. In response, Yukichi tries to remove the food and alcohol, and Saku resolves to exercise before work the next day.

The next morning doesn’t go as planned for Saku; she oversleeps and rushes to work, missing her planned workout session. That night, Yukichi insists that Saku goes for a jog and does extra exercises. A few weeks later, both Saku and Yukichi have noticeably lost weight. But just as they believe they’ve reached their goal, they fall back into their old habits and regain the weight as before.

A subplot unfolds when Yuri, Saku’s coworker, visits her mother and meets her cousin Rio. The two discuss their love lives, and Rio shares how she was rescued from a dangerous ex-boyfriend by two strangers. While the audience already knows these strangers were Saku and Yukichi, Yuri remains unaware of their identity.

Meanwhile, Yukichi is engrossed in a TV competition where pets are awarded for their resemblance to their owners. The show gives him the unsettling idea that Saku might share his personality traits. This thought lingers until the next morning when Saku watches the same program. She concludes that if Yukichi were to resemble her, he’d simply be an ordinary but oversized cat.
