In the second episode, the story goes back to Yukichi and Saku's first meeting. Saku pulls Yukichi out of a small crevice, covers him with fabric, and then takes him to her apartment. Once there, Yukichi is astonished by the chaos in the apartment.

In the present, Yukichi remembers his task of taking care of Saku. Despite the messy surroundings and Saku's obvious incompetence, Yukichi doesn't seem dissatisfied but instead acknowledges that he made the decision to stay with her.

The episode then focuses on a conversation between Saku and Yukichi. Surprised by Yukichi's unusual size for a cat and his advanced abilities, such as preparing meals and cleaning, Saku asks him questions but receives no concrete answers. Unfazed by her curiosity, Saku spends a casual moment with Yukichi, enjoying cat food and beer together.

Later, Yukichi goes grocery shopping. His size draws attention, and some onlookers mistake him for a cosplayer. The store owner, a cat lover, even tries to shake his hand.

Meanwhile, at work, Saku has an open conversation with her boss in an elevator. She asks him about a past incident when he encountered Yukichi as a kitten after finding her drunk in a bar. Saku also inquires whether he saw the mess in her apartment, which he confirms. Embarrassed, Saku promises to do whatever it takes to make up for it. Her boss then suggests they visit an aquarium one of the upcoming weekends.

When Saku returns home, she tells Yukichi about the day's events. The news about the possible aquarium visit makes Yukichi jealous, as a band he really likes is supposed to perform there.
