Saku comes home after befriending another cat, which displeases Yukichi. The next day, she struggles to wake up and get ready for work, but Yukichi urges her to leave the house.

At work, Saku receives an invitation to Yume’s birthday party from her boss, along with a surprising second invitation for Yukichi. While the boss mentions that he can’t attend due to work reasons, Saku is worried about bringing Yukichi. When she gets home, she shares the news with Yukichi. Upon learning that it’s a costume party, he starts preparing outfits for the two of them.

At Yume’s party, Yukichi’s appearance draws attention, but he skillfully adds a zipper, making others assume he’s wearing a costume. Yume’s grandmother meets Yukichi and remarks that large black cats bring good luck. After the party, Saku and Yukichi pass by the bench where they first met on their way home, stirring up memories of the past.

Meanwhile, the boss looks through the party photos on the plane. He spots Yukichi, finds him strange, and feels relieved he wasn’t there.

The episode ends with Saku overindulging in alcohol and calling Yukichi from a park. Worried, Yukichi rushes to her, takes her home, and decides to meet her at the station in case she drinks too much again in the future.
