In this episode, Saku's colleagues notice her bento box, which leads them to praise her and assume she made it herself. This sparks a discussion about Saku's potential marriage plans, planting a seed of worry in her. She starts to fear that her pet Yukichi might leave her if she were to marry a wealthy man.

After returning home, Saku shares her concerns with Yukichi, expressing that he might abandon her if a richer person enters her life. Yukichi's enthusiastic "thumbs up" annoys her and drives her to pursue wealth. She decides to stay up all night to complete a certification course that promises success. However, her plans are thwarted when Yukichi ensures she gets some sleep, causing her to doze off.

Later, after watching a horror movie featuring a samurai ghost, Saku becomes very anxious. On her way to the bathroom, she mistakenly thinks she sees a terrifying creature, only to realize it's just Yukichi trying to weigh her. That night, she finds Yukichi imitating a young kitten and drinking directly from the faucet. To ease his apparent discomfort, she reassures him that she's no longer afraid of the ghost.

The next morning starts off chaotically: In her rush to get to work, Saku spills tea all over her cabinet and wallpaper. While she profusely apologizes, Yukichi is quite amused. It turns out he has taken precautions around the house similar to baby-proofing. Promptly, he fixes the cabinet and reattaches the stained wallpaper.

When Saku comes home in the evening, she is amazed by Yukichi's handiwork, and it's clear he takes pride in creating a safe and cozy environment. The next day, Saku reluctantly heads to work. Yukichi is concerned about the impact on her job but also about her overall happiness.
