At yesterday's DIGIMON ADVENTURE FES.2015 event in Japan, further details about the project were announced, along with a new trailer being released.
Digimon Adventure tri. will not be a TV series but rather a six-part film series, with Part 1 (titled "Saikai") set to premiere in Japanese theaters on November 21. An official Blu-ray and DVD release will follow on December 18.
The voice actors for the main characters have been completely replaced, and are as follows:
- Natsuki Hanae as Taichi Yagami
- Yoshimasa Hosoya as Yamato Ishida
- Suzuko Mimori as Sora Takenouchi
- Mutsumi Tamura as Koshiro Izumi
- Hitomi Yoshida as Mimi Tachikawa
- Junya Ikeda as Jo Kido
- Junya Enoki as Takeru Takaishi
- MAO as Hikari Yagami
The original "Digimon Partner" voice actors from Digimon Adventure will return to their roles.
Additionally, Kouji Wada will return as the song performer. The opening theme is "Butter-Fly," while AiM (Ai Maeda) will perform "I wish" for the ending, and Ayumi Miyazaki will contribute the image song "Brave Heart." All three songs will be released as singles on November 25.
