Long awaited, "Dragonball Evolution" is finally coming to German cinemas. For the hardcore fans of the series; you have to expect some deductions in the story, but the adaptation is well done overall (we were used to much worse from RTL II *_*). It will be interesting to see if a part 2 will follow.
-----------
Starting Thursday, June 11, James Wong's live-action adaptation of the manga classic Dragon Ball will hit German theaters.
The film, titled Dragonball Evolution, tells the story of the teenager Goku, who receives a strange orb with four floating stars inside from his grandfather. The bullied Goku soon learns that the orb is a Dragon Ball, which the green-skinned demon Piccolo wants to seize in order to destroy humanity.
To coincide with the film's release, Carlsen is reissuing the original manga by Akira Toriyama with a globally unique cover design. The fourth volume of the collector's edition is already being released this month. Additionally, the book adaptation of Dragonball Evolution has been available from Carlsen for some time. It comes as a paperback and includes some film stills.
