In the fourth episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, "Hidden Inventory 4," Fushiguro faces off against Getou. At the beginning of the episode, Fushiguro explains to Getou how he successfully infiltrated Jujutsu High. He talks about his lack of cursed energy, his reliance on a cursed spirit that carries his cursed tool, and his ability to turn invisible. Then, Fushiguro admits that he focused on Satoru because he considered him a greater threat, even though he originally could have targeted Riko as well.

When questioned by Getou, Fushiguro reveals that his Heavenly Pact, which enhances all his senses, allowed him to locate the Tombs of the Star. Fushiguro's explanation that Kuroi might be dead angers Getou. However, Fushiguro stands his ground and defeats Getou. He seizes the opportunity to mock Getou, Riko, and Satoru for being unable to overpower him—a man who lacks the ability to use cursed techniques.

Fushiguro then visits the headquarters of the Star Religious Group with his partner. They hand over Riko's corpse to the group's representative, Shigeru Sonoda. Sonoda, pleased with their success, rewards Fushiguro and his partner and gives them a bonus. He also shares the history of the Star Religious Group and their resistance against assimilation. As Fushiguro and his partner leave, Sonoda takes Riko's body away.

Although Fushiguro orders his partner to kill Kuroi, the latter refuses, believing that sparing Kuroi would hurt Satoru more. After this disagreement, Fushiguro walks away and unexpectedly encounters Satoru, who is injured. Satoru tells Fushiguro that he survived Fushiguro's attack thanks to a reversed cursed technique.

This revelation leads to a battle between Fushiguro and Satoru. Fushiguro finds it difficult to harm Satoru, even though he knows about Satoru's Limitless technique. When Satoru realizes that Fushiguro belongs to the Zen'in Clan, he understands how Fushiguro mastered his technique. The encounter ends with Satoru fatally wounding Fushiguro. Before dying, Fushiguro warns Satoru that his child will be sold to the Zen'in Clan—the clan that once shunned him.

The scene shifts, showing Getou arriving at the Star Religious Group, where he notices Satoru with Riko. Getou informs Satoru that Shoko healed him after his fight with Fushiguro. Satoru asks Getou if they should keep the people at the headquarters alive, but Getou advises against it, seeing them only as believers.
