Jujutsu Kaisen - Season 2 Episode 6, titled "It's Like That," begins with Megumi leaving Yuji and Nobara to take care of some other matters. Yuji invites Nobara to the theater, but she declines, and Yuji goes alone. Meanwhile, Mei Mei and Aoi discuss with Yoshinobu the potential promotion of Maki, Panda, Megumi, Nobara, and Yuji to Grade 1 Sorcerers. They explain that the five must complete certain missions with current Grade 1 sorcerers or an equivalent person and then undertake Grade 1 missions alone to be eligible for promotion. Aoi believes Yuji has potential but is concerned that Sukuna might be an obstacle. This discussion takes place during an intense table tennis match between Aoi and Mei Mei.

Nobara meets Yuko Ozawa, a former acquaintance of Yuji from middle school, who asks for Yuji's contact information and hints that she has feelings for him. Nobara asks Mr. Ijichi to bring Megumi to give Yuko information about Yuji and assures Yuko that she has no romantic interest in Yuji. When Megumi arrives, Yuko asks about Yuji's preferences in girls, and Megumi recalls Yuji mentioning that he likes tall girls, which gives Yuko hope.

In a flashback, Yuko remembers a conversation between Yuji and two boys about the girls they like at school. Yuji mentioned Yuko as his choice, which delighted her because she felt he saw a different side of her. In the present, after catching up with Yuji, Yuko walks away.

Nobara and Megumi then discuss Yuko and Yuji, with Nobara expressing her intention to find a boyfriend before Yuji gets a girlfriend. Yuji returns and invites them to watch Earthworm Man 4.

The scene shifts to Utahime, who is contemplating the alleged traitor at Kyoto School. As Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi arrive to discuss the matter, the scene cuts to Kasumi requesting Mechamaru's report. Utahime then leads the group to the basement of Kyoto School to speak with Kokichi Muta, Mechamaru's real body, whom they suspect to be the traitor due to his cursed technique of puppet manipulation. However, they reach a dead end.

Getou and Mahito visit Kokichi in his hideout with the intention of cursing Kokichi's body as a reward for his help with Mahito's cursed technique of idle transfiguration before killing him. Kokichi asks them to spare the people of Kyoto School since they broke the binding vow first. A battle ensues, with Kokichi summoning a giant Mechamaru. He plans to inform Satoru about the Shibuya Plan and ask for protection but decides to deal with Mahito first.

The episode ends with Kokichi firing his Ultra Cannon at Mahito.
