In the dynamic world of manga and anime, new adaptations continue to captivate the imagination of audiences worldwide. The latest series making the leap from manga pages to the screen is Dan Ichikawa's charming workplace comedy "My New Boss is Goofy" (Atarashii Jōshi wa Do Tennen). A dedicated website revealed the news and provided insights into the promotional video, visual teasers, main cast, and staff of the upcoming anime.



Yuichiro Umehara, Kōtarō Nishiyama, Tomokazu Sugita, Jun Fukuyama, and Hiro Shimono are the lead cast members bringing the beloved characters of the series to life. These characters are introduced in the order they appear in the teaser, heightening anticipation and pacing the reveal.

The project is helmed by director Noriyuki Abe, while Masahiro Yokotani is responsible for the series' scripts. Takahiro Yasuda takes on the roles of character designer and chief animation director, with Masato Nakayama handling the music. Jin Aketagawa rounds out the team as sound director.

"My New Boss is Goofy" began as a collection of posts on Ichikawa's Twitter account before the series was published on Akita Shoten's Manga Cross website in February 2019. The first and second compiled volumes were released in August 2019 and May 2020, respectively.

The story revolves around 26-year-old office worker Kentarō Momose, who changes jobs due to bullying by his previous boss. He is worried about his new superior, Yūsei Shirosaki, but soon discovers that he is a goofball—a trait that unexpectedly alleviates Momose's anxieties.
