Tokyopop loses all Kodansha licenses

After Tokyopop Germany already lost the rights to the Kodansha licenses in January of this year, the North American Tokyopop is now following suit. This makes it clear that the Japanese publisher Kodansha is letting all licensing agreements with Tokyopop expire and is not interested in an extension.

This means that Tokyopop is not permitted to finish ongoing series from Kodansha or reprint titles from the back catalog.
