During one summer, Makoto participates in a series of activities aimed at expanding his skills and knowledge. He expresses to Luto his desire to improve his mana efficiency, even though he already possesses a considerable amount. With Luto's support, Makoto explores training methods to enhance his mana efficiency. At the same time, Eva presents Makoto with a unique essay on the physical manipulation of mana, which piques his interest and sets a new goal for his summer vacation. This research leads to a breakthrough, enabling him to manipulate mana from the outside, which he calls "mana matter."

Additionally, Makoto takes part in a mock battle against the Wingkin, which reveals their heavy reliance on aerial superiority and highlights the need for diverse combat strategies. Following this, a demonstration of new combat abilities is held for the inhabitants of the demiplane, allowing them to showcase their improvements and innovations. The episode culminates in a display of these new abilities, where Makoto demonstrates his newly discovered skill of manipulating "mana matter," which enhances his spells and serves as a form of armor, shocking all the spectators.
