Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy S2 - Episode 9

In Episode 9 of "Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Season 2," Lime encounters a mysterious shadowy man who is not Makoto's ally Professor Bright but another individual with immense power. This man effortlessly blocks Lime's attack and knocks him unconscious with minimal effort. Lime later wakes up in a cell with the librarian Eva, missing his katana. Using a second magical knife, Lime manages to escape, and they discover a laboratory where experiments are being conducted on Hyumans and Demihumans.

Eva, grateful for her rescue, provides Makoto with valuable information about his parents, revealing that they were a nobleman and a priestess who intended to marry in the now-defunct state of Kaleneon, the homeland she and her sister Luria hail from. Eva and Luria feel responsible for their abandoned homeland and strive to resurrect Kaleneon from the ruins of the Kingdom of Elysion. Eva's presence at the site of the earlier confrontation with Luria stems from her search for support from a faction opposing the Goddess.

When Makoto returns to his quarters, Lime senses the presence of the man who once defeated him. Tomoe and Mio come to his aid, and the stranger is identified as Root, the Guild Master of the Adventurer's Guild. Root, a dragon like Tomoe who has lived for centuries and changed genders out of boredom, is as powerful as Tomoe and Mio but shows no interest in fighting.

Root reveals that the Adventurer's Guild was founded a millennium ago, inspired by another individual from Makoto's world, and that they incorporate video game terminology into their work. The conversation shifts to the possibility of Makoto returning to his world, and Root offers a grim estimate: the odds are one in ten million.
