Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2 Announcement: New Trailer, Visuals and Cast Details

The second season of Kei Azumi's light novel adaptation Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- is set to be released in January 2024. The official anime website has shared a new teaser trailer and a new image, informing fans that the upcoming season will be animated by J.C. Staff, replacing C2C. This season is expected to span two consecutive quarters of the year.





Several cast members from the first season, namely Natsuki Hanae, Ayane Sakura, Akari Kitō, and Kenjiro Tsuda, will reprise their roles as Makoto Misumi, Tomoe, Mio, and Shiki, respectively. Shinji Ishihira continues to direct, while Kenta Ihara remains in charge of series composition. Additionally, Yukie Suzuki will once again handle character designs, and Yasuharu Takanashi returns as the music composer.

The anime series debuted in July 2021 and was the first production for NTV's newly established anime division. The story follows ordinary high school student Makoto Misumi, who is summoned to another world to serve as a "hero." After having his title revoked due to deviating from the norm, Makoto explores the wilderness, encounters various non-human tribes, and harnesses previously unimaginable powers. Though abandoned by both humans and gods, Makoto strives to improve this new world.
