Takayuki Sorita is a Japanese actor and voice actor born on August 22, 1981, in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. He is a graduate of Waseda University and also completed his training at the Literary Theatre附属演劇研究所. Early in his career, he was affiliated with Gekidan Himawari, before moving to the Literary Theatre in 2007.

Sorita has been active in both live-action and voice acting roles since the late 1980s, with a career spanning from 1988 to at least 2011. His filmography includes a mix of television dramas, feature films, and animated projects.

As a voice actor, he is recognized for two primary anime roles. He voiced the character Asuka Yuuki in the. Rin ni Kiitemite!. He also contributed to the acclaimed 2006 animated film The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, directed by Mamoru Hosoda, providing the voice for the character Kato. His other voice work includes providing additional voices for the 2011 Studio Ghibli film From Up on Poppy Hill.

In addition to his voice acting, Sorita has a substantial body of work in live-action film and television. One of his earliest and most notable roles was as Yusuke in the 1993 television movie Fireworks, directed by Shunji Iwai. He appeared in the 2004 film Akai Tsuki, playing the character Kazuo Morita. His other acting credits include roles in the film Setoutsumi (2001), the television drama 3年B班金八老师 完结篇 最后的赠言 (2011), and the 1988 film Dogura Magra as a child actor.
