Benoît Dupac is a French actor and voice director, primarily known for his extensive work in the dubbing of foreign films and animated series into French. Born in 1968 in Boulogne-Billancourt, he initially pursued legal studies before training as an actor at the Cours Jean Périmony and the Cours Florent. His early career was rooted in theatre, performing in major Parisian productions, before he expanded into on-screen roles and eventually specialized in dubbing. In the realm of animation and video game dubbing, Dupac has lent his voice to a wide array of characters. Among his most celebrated roles is Eikichi Onizuka in the anime series Great Teacher Onizuka. He is also the definitive French voice of Shadow the Hedgehog in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, including the series Sonic X and Sonic Boom, as well as in the video games starting with Sonic Generations. Other notable voice roles include Luigi in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Benny in The Lego Movie films, Mark Grayson / Invincible in the series Invincible, Yato in Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, and Tomo Kamata in Kilari. He is the French voice of Akane Tachibana in the original video animation I'll/CKBC. He also voiced the antagonist Jean Descole in the film Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva. Beyond acting, Dupac is highly active as a voice director, overseeing the French dubs of numerous productions. His directing credits include all series in The Walking Dead franchise, The Boys, Family Guy, Steven Universe, and Invincible. In live-action dubbing, he is the regular French voice for actors such as Charlie Day, Brian Krause, Stephen Lobo, and Steven Yeun.
