Philippe Peythieu is a prominent French actor and voice director, born on January 12, 1950, in Paris, widely recognized for his extensive contributions to the art of dubbing. He began his career in theater, performing in street theatre and working at the Théâtre de l'Aquarium for about ten years before transitioning to voice acting in 1984. He seized the opportunity presented by the high demand for dubbing in the mid-1980s, a period he described as a boom for the industry that allowed new talents to emerge.

Peythieu is celebrated for his long-running role as the French voice of Homer Simpson, a part he has played since 1990, also voicing characters Abraham Simpson and Otto Bus in the series.
