Samir Murad is a Brazilian voice actor known for his extensive work dubbing anime, animated series, and live-action films into Portuguese. He was born on February 24, 1958, in Nova Iguaçu, Rio de Janeiro. His full name is Samir Murad Melhem, and he is of Lebanese descent. Before entering the world of dubbing, Murad pursued a career in theater. He discovered acting at seventeen through a local course and later graduated in Performing Arts from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ).
Murad's entry into voice acting came in 1991, driven by financial considerations, after he learned of a dubbing course taught by renowned professionals Mário Jorge de Andrade and Mônica Rossi.
