Eliah Mountjoy is an American actor and voice artist known for his work in anime dubbing, video games, and motion capture performance. Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, he developed an early interest in the arts, engaging in activities like drawing, writing songs, and creating costumes. He pursued this passion academically, earning a degree in Film Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder. Following his graduation, Mountjoy moved to San Francisco to train in classical theatre at the Conservatory Bennett Theatre Lab under Philip Bennett, a teacher of the Stanislavski system. This training prepared him for a range of stage roles, including the title role in Hamlet, Tom in The Glass Menagerie, and parts in plays by Chekhov and Mamet.
After relocating to Los Angeles to pursue acting, Mountjoy transitioned into voice work, viewing it as a natural bridge between his interests in acting and music. He studied under Bill Holmes, known as the Voiceover Doctor, to hone his craft. His voice acting career encompasses a wide range of media, including animation, video games, and commercial campaigns for major brands like Google, Disney, and McDonald's.
In the realm of anime and animated series, Mountjoy has provided voices for several notable English dubs. He is the voice of Kiryu Udo in the English adaptation of the mecha series AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline, produced by NYAV Post. He also voiced the character Sleggar Law in the film Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island. His other anime credits include the role of Shu in the animated feature Shin Kyūseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken: Raoh-den Junai no Shō, which is part of the Fist of the North Star franchise, and Toroa the Awful in the series Ishura.
