JP Karliak is an American actor and comedian recognized for his extensive work in voice-over, particularly in animation and video games. He has built a notable career voicing characters in English dubs of anime series and films, in addition to numerous Western animated productions.

Karliak pursued his interest in acting at the university level, graduating with a bachelor's degree in theatre from the University of Southern California. Although he initially focused on stage and on-camera work, he transitioned to voice acting after receiving encouragement and positive feedback for his voice performances in student projects. He further honed his skills by taking classes from established voice-acting professionals, including Bob Bergen and Ginny McSwain.

In the realm of anime, Karliak has contributed to several high-profile English dubs. He voices the character S566 in the original Netflix anime series Eden. He is also the voice of Geise H. Hugest in the film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway. Karliak has played the role of the Knight of the Round Table, Gawain, in two different Fate productions: the film Fate/Grand Order The Movie Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot and the original video animation Fate/Grand Carnival. Notably, his casting as Gawain in the Fate franchise saw him take over the role from a previous voice actor. His other anime credits include the role of Kouzou Fuyutsuki in the Netflix redub of the classic series Neon Genesis Evangelion and its associated films. He also voiced Reo Mibuchi in the English version of Kuroko's Basketball and its sequel film and performed multiple roles in the Star Wars: Visions anime anthology.

Beyond his individual performances, Karliak is recognized for his contributions to the voice-acting community. He is the founder and president of Queer Vox, a non-profit training academy and community that supports LGBTQIA+ voice talent and advocates for authentic casting opportunities. He also co-founded NerdsVote, a nonpartisan organization aimed at connecting fans of pop culture with voter registration.
