Utano Aoi is a Japanese voice actor and actress affiliated with the talent agency ASOBISYSTEM. She was born on July 4, 1999, in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. Her career began in the entertainment industry as a member of the idol group TAKENOKO in 2014, performing under the name Utano Kanae. After leaving the group in 2015, she later received the Sony Music Award at the 4th Uniform Award in 2017. In July 2020, she adopted her current stage name, Utano Aoi, upon joining ASOBISYSTEM. That same year, she gained wider recognition by being selected as a finalist and placing in the top 16 of Kodansha's Miss Magazine 2020 contest.

Aoi's most prominent voice acting role to date is as Nina, the main character in the 2021 original net animation series Artiswitch. In this series, produced by Sunrise in collaboration with ASOBISYSTEM, she voiced the fashionable witch who runs a mysterious boutique in the Ura-Harajuku district. This role marked a significant step in her career as an up-and-coming talent. She also provided the voice for the character Ichika in the 2023 live-action drama adaptation of Ya Boy Kongming!.

Beyond voice acting, Utano Aoi has built a portfolio of live-action acting roles. She was a regular cast member in the 2021 television drama Girl Gun Lady, playing the character Kana Minami. Her other acting credits include appearances in the drama Kiss x Kiss x Kiss ~Melting Night~ in 2022 and a role in the 2022 film Redbridge. Her skills include kendo, dance (ballet and hip-hop), and piano, and she has a variety of interests such as photography, visiting secondhand clothing shops, and exploring cafes.
