Terry Klassen
Description
Terry Klassen is a Canadian voice actor, voice director, and writer with a career spanning several decades in the animation and anime industry, primarily based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Born on March 31, 1957, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he transitioned from a career in radio to become a prolific figure in English dubbing and animation production.
Klassen has contributed his voice to a wide array of English adaptations of anime. He is well-known for his long-standing association with the Ocean Group dub of the Dragon Ball Z series, where he voiced the iconic character Krillin, as well as Guldo, Babidi, and others. In the Inuyasha franchise, he provided the voice for the recurring character Hachi, also known as Hachiemon, a role he has reprised in later series including Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon - The Second Act. His other notable anime roles include Sakamoto in Maison Ikkoku, Hiroshi in Ranma 1/2, the Conductor in Galaxy Express 999, and various characters in series such as Zoids, Monster Rancher, and The Vision of Escaflowne.
Beyond these roles, he has also voiced characters in various animated adaptations of video games and Western cartoons. This includes voicing multiple Robot Masters, such as Cut Man, in the 1994 Mega Man animated series, and notably providing the voice of Rush, Mega Man's robotic dog, in the first episode of the OVA Mega Man: Upon a Star.
