Description
Ebifurya is a character from the second Dragon Ball Z film, The World's Strongest. He is one of three bio-warriors, also referred to as brutal warriors or bio-men, created by the scientist Dr. Kochin to serve the primary antagonist, Dr. Wheelo. The character's name is a pun on the Japanese word for fried shrimp, ebi fry.

In terms of appearance, Ebifurya is a large, muscular humanoid with pink skin and long red hair tied back in a ponytail. He has long, pointed ears and typically wears dark clothing that leaves his abdomen exposed. As a creation rather than a naturally born being, Ebifurya does not demonstrate a complex personality or independent free will. His behavior is defined by his programming, which makes him ruthlessly determined to follow the orders of his creator and master without question or hesitation. He is focused on succeeding in his designated combat missions and shows a cruel, gloating side when he believes he has defeated his opponents.

Ebifurya's primary role in the story is to serve as an obstacle for the protagonist, Goku, and his allies. He is part of Dr. Wheelo's plan to secure a powerful new body. Along with his fellow bio-warriors, Kishime and Misokatsun, Ebifurya is first dispatched to test the strength of Master Roshi, whom Dr. Wheelo initially believes to be the world's strongest fighter. The trio easily defeats the aged martial arts master. Later, Ebifurya and Kishime confront Goku inside Dr. Wheelo's fortress. His key relationship is with his creator, Dr. Kochin, and his master, Dr. Wheelo, whom he serves loyally. He also operates alongside Kishime and Misokatsun as a team.

Ebifurya's most notable ability is a technique called the Freezing Fist, or Toketsu-ken. With this power, he can encase his targets in massive spheres of ice. He uses this move successfully against Goku, freezing him solid after Kishime stuns the Saiyan. When Gohan and Krillin arrive to help, Ebifurya also traps them in ice balls. The character is also capable of flight and can use basic ki blasts, though these abilities are primarily seen in later video game appearances rather than the film itself. Sources from supplemental material suggest his power level is around 7,500.

Ebifurya does not undergo any development or change throughout the narrative. His end comes when Goku uses the Kaio-ken technique to shatter the ice encasing him. As Ebifurya prepares to attack again, Goku strikes him with a single, powerful punch that sends the bio-warrior flying through a wall, destroying him instantly. He is one of the first major obstacles Goku faces in the film and is eliminated without ever achieving his goal. Despite being a minor antagonist with no meaningful arc, Ebifurya is notable for being the only one of Dr. Kochin's three bio-warriors to have any speaking lines.
