Born on April 19, 1988, in Calgary, Alberta, he developed an early interest in pursuing a career in acting. To achieve this goal, he sought formal training and graduated from the Mount Royal University Theatre Arts Performance program in 2010. Following his graduation, Wackershauser gained experience performing with various theatre companies in Calgary, which provided him with a foundation in acting and industry knowledge. This success in local theatre gave him the confidence to audition for film and television roles, and he eventually found a niche for himself in the voice-over community, specializing in dubbing anime.

Wackershauser has built a substantial career lending his voice to numerous anime series. He is particularly recognized for his long-standing association with the Cardfight!! Vanguard franchise, where he has voiced multiple characters across several series. His roles in this universe include Shingo Komoi, a character he has portrayed in Cardfight!! Vanguard: Link Joker Hen, Cardfight!! Vanguard G GIRS Crisis, Cardfight!! Vanguard G NEXT, Cardfight!! Vanguard: High School Arc Cont., Cardfight!! Vanguard (TV 2018), and Cardfight!!
