During the conflict against Wandering Star Brandt, Shingo became the embodiment of Blaster Dagger, one of Monarch Sanctuary Alfred's most powerful soldiers. He later faced a significant personal crisis following a loss to Rekka Tatsunagi, which triggered his awakening of PSYqualia—a psychic ability granting precognition during cardfights. He deeply regretted this development and actively defended Aichi from other PSYqualia users known as Zombies.
